Aquaman Review: DC's Superhero Movie is a Wild & Goofy Ride. What DC's Aquaman movie lacks in refinement, it makes up for with action spectacle and a whole lot of fun personality from Momoa's. Years after it went off air, Entourage finally got its wish: we now have a REAL Aquaman movie.
Aquaman's been dragged out of DC's Justice League. His pals include Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, and his movie is as mediocre as the latest versions of theirs. "Aquaman" is as concerned with scientific accuracy as "SpongeBob Squarepants." And that's one of It takes skill to be as ridiculous as this movie about a half-human, half-Atlantean prince who's known. This part-underwater-set Jason Momoa is back as Aquaman himself, though there's still no depiction of the presumably big moment.

So before I get into reviewing Aquaman, to my memory the first DC superhero movie I've ever reviewed, I want to get my critical bias out on the table: I love the ocean. REVIEW: Aquaman Is Entertaining and Visually Stunning. James Wan's Aquaman feels like one of the few times the DCEU has nailed the right balance between style and substance.
Aquaman is scripted by James Wan, Will Beall and Geoff Johns. Besides scripting, James Wan directed the film. Peter Safran and Rob Cowan produced the film alo. I saw Aquaman about two weeks ago and I have not for a second stopped thinking about everyone's hair.
